Hunting

The Ranch is a popular place during hunting season.  Hunters staying at the Ranch have the privilege of hunting on Ranch property and can access prime hunting grounds in the San Juan National Forest from within the Ranch.

The primary quest is elk, although trophy mule deer are often spotted in and around the Ranch. Other game is present as well. But it is still the abundant elk population that draws people from all over the country.
In the fall of 2008, our guests took 17 elk including a trophy bull.

We are located in the northern part of Colorado Game Management Unit (GMU) 77 where there is an abundance of public land.

We have an excellent Outfitter who can assure you of a quality hunt of memorable proportions. For more information, contact us or check out his website at http://www.crazyhorseoutfitter.com/.

Please give us a call or send an email if you would like more information. Due to the high demand during hunting season and the special private land privileges for our hunting guests, we have a specific hunting policy which includes rates for the cabins.
